USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships

USA Funds offers 2010-2011 academic year scholarships to Students who meet these qualifications:



Are Full-time or Part-time undergraduates

Are Full-time graduate and professional

Have an economic need

50% of the scholarships will be targeted to students who are members of an ethnic minority group or are physically handicapped.

Banner Bank/Spokane Indians

Banner Bank in conjuction with the Spokane Indians will award 5, $500.00 college scholarships!

Qualifications: Graduating in 2010
Citizen of the United States
Resident of Spokane County

9 WSSRA Scholarships

The Washington State School Retirees' Association is pleased to invite senior students to apply for these 9 scholarships if they are committed to entering the teaching profession.

Amount: 8 scholarships for $1,500 each, for one year only.
An additional scholarship, the Don and Myrtle Bunt Scholarship ( $1,500) will also be awarded to a student in the SW Washington area.

16 Robert J. Handy Scholarships Available

For High School Seniors...

who are committed to entering the teaching profession (e.g. classroom teacher, school counselor, school nurse, communication disorder specialist, school physical therapist, school psychologist, reading specialist, librarian, etc.)



The Pemco Foundation Inc. grants 16 Robert J. Handy Scholarships in memory of Robert J, Handy who founded the Washington State Teachers Credit Union, later expanded to PEMCO.



Amount: $900.00 per year, renewable for a total of 4 years if grades, citizenship, self-reliance, etc. are maintained at acceptable levels.

WESCU Washington State Employees Credit Union Scholarship

$47,000 Scholarship money available for members of WSECU (Washington State Employees Credit Union)!

WSECU will award 20 scholarships to students who will be attending a four-year or graduate school and 7 scholarships to students studying at a two-year or vocational school.
Applicants will be judged on academic record, essays, letters of recommendation, financial need and community service and activities. (Please note: membership at any credit union other than WSECU does not qualify applicants for this scholarship.)


Award: 20 scholarships for $2,000 each to recipients attending a four-year or graduate school
7 scholarships for $1,000 each to recipients attending a two-year or vocational school.
